How many Schools are in Pacific Adventist University, in Papua New Guinea?
How does the School of Business operate?

There are six schools that made up Pacific Adventist University and they are;

  1. School of Theology
  2. School of Business
  3. School of Education
  4. School of Health Science
  5. School of Science and Technology
  6. School of Arts and Humanities

 

  • School of Theology

Those students are train to be minister of the gospel, to tell the world about Christ Jesus the redeemer of this world. Their learning is broad, to understand the Word of God called Bible.

  • School of Business

They are train to be the steward of the Lord, what they will handle, do and practice must centered on truth and loyalty to those the students are going to engage with.

  • School of Education

The school offer secondary training for students who want to be a teacher to enrich and develop human resources for this country. Not only a teacher but also a role model to shape and mold the young minds to be a good citizen for this world and the world to come.

  • School of Health Science

They are trained to be nurse to help those people who are sick.

  • School of Science and Technology

All the new intake do their science foundation and for those that did it well are given the opportunity to further take up medicine, dentist etc… at mad fact - a school under University of Papua New Guinea which has its own campus. Others are staying back here on the campus, taking courses such as environmental science, major in physic or other science subject to be a teacher.

  • School of Arts and Humanities

Most of the study is design for students who have the special ability of arts and the study of human begins in the society.

The head of the school is dean. Who is not oblige to office responsibility but also he/she step in if there a shortage of staff or position vacancy while waiting for the administration to look for a lecturer.

The dean is the head of the school while supported by business staff and faculties operate and cater for what the students are here for.

Which types of students are there in the School of Business?

We have students from all over Pacific Islands; mainly students from Papua New Guinea that including all twenty-two Provinces, from Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Kiribati and even Asian students.

How many students are in School of Business?

The total number of students in the school of business is 391 and they are categories into the year studied as follows;

  • 113 students in first years,
  • 103 students in second year,
  • 99 students in third year and,
  • 76 students in fourth year.

What courses does School of Business offers?

School of Business offers three causes;

  1. Accounting
  2. Accounting and Management
  3. Accounting and Computing

Apart from your study along, you will also have the opportunity to meet students from other schools within the campus. You might not know, the world out there is whom you know, is not what you know so there a lot of activities such as sports com., worship etc… to build relationship that will last.

Is there any opportunity for me after graduation?

Yes, out there in the real world people are looking for not only your grades but also your attitude in working environment. For example; apart from class, students are engage under each department in the campus to work – eight (8) hours a week which will develop your attitude towards the working environment out there.

On the other hand, school itself has a good reputation in the business world which will add weight to your paper. The school program is very effective but it’s you that will decide your own destination if you happen to make most out of it.
